The Star of the West:  One of  the most difficult pieces I ever did.  The nine-pointed star is the symbol of the Bahá'i faith, and I made this piece for a friend who was a member.  It is mostly made up of a pinkish swirl pattern and a black stone marble, but the central area is a golden stone pattern.  It was all done by masking on a single sheet, not a cut-and-paste job.
